Trades
1.
BUF
  1. 2020 6th round pick (WSH)
WSH
  1. Hutton, Carter
Additional Details:
With Holtby on his way out, the Caps could look for a veteran mentor for Samsonov. Hutton never really could string it together in Buffalo with the high danger chances against, and could be a great complement to their young star
2.
PIT
  1. Johansson, Jonas [RFA Rights]
  2. 2020 5th round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
If the Pens look to keep both Murray and Jarry, buffalo should go for DeSmith. A young goalie who has seen nhl success in the past, could be a solid partner for Ullmark
3.
BUF
  1. Puljujärvi, Jesse [Reserve List]
EDM
  1. Mittelstadt, Casey [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Mentioned in an ExpectedBuffalo article this week, a swap of two high end prospects who have taken a step back in development could be good. Buffalo gets a young cost controlled RW who can bring skill and size to the roster
4.
BUF
  1. Tierney, Chris [RFA Rights]
OTT
  1. Ristolainen, Rasmus
Additional Details:
Ottawa needs defenders, Buffalo needs center help. Tierney I think is a great fit for a “bridge center” for Cozens who is still young and productive

If Buffalo "needs defenseman" they will just sign Demelo

You mean Ottawa? Possible, but I’m sure there are teams that still see bigger potential in Risto. Not sure if it’s Ottawa, but if so I’d like this swap

Risto has no potential. He has had a really bad season too

A defender who was on his way to his fifth straight 40+ Point season at the age of 25 is sure to turn some heads. His tough analytics have been well documented, but he is still a big, physical defender who can put up solid points and that is something that doesn’t fade away in the nhl. His analytics are rough, but he passes the eye test in a lot of ways

He isn't gonna get 40 points this season. Even if he played 82 games

Horrible deal for Ottawa. Ristolainen is a terrible fit. Sens need someone who can be a steady presence, not another hand to QB a power play. Sens have Chabot and Wolanin, and Brannstrom who could be in the NHL this year too.

The eye test tells you he's horrible. His only hope is the analytics...

Oh sorry, his PPG had him at 39 points... regardless

This is the fairest point I have seen so far. He has the tools and has shown flashes of being a steady guy, but it really has depended on who he’s been paired with so far in buffalo. They tried it a lot with Montour this season, but it just didn’t work. A good puck mover who is pretty stable himself is a guy that it has worked with. They played him on and off with Pilut at times and that seemed to work for us

I like the trades, made sense you did a good job of turning the Sabres around, but please no more of Larsson he is not a good penalty killer and not that good. Besides Larsson you get an A.

What would be a move you would be interested in for Tierney?
