Jarry would get a late first. I doubt Pittsburg wants to trade Murray so they are gonna want a good package for him

Would Pittsburg take Dermott (23 yr old LHD worth a high 2nd) and a 3rd or 2?

Yeah, I like the idea of Dermott and 3rd for Jarry. Although I feel the Leafs have to trade Andersen beforehand.

Jarry has never played in a playoff game so you are bringing that up because? You aren't proving your point very well

So Fox/Makar/Hughes are only worth late firsts...? They've only played 60-70 games... And using his career sv% is a fantastic method of judging his talent because development never happens in goalies between the ages of 23 and 25

No. Murray was the full time starter before the cancelation and was outplaying Jarry after he had his hot streak

Ya sully went back Murray to right before the season ended. Jarry had cooled a little, and Sully def is a Murray guy.

Jarry: well the Pens need a W and 3rd Pair RD. Maybe one of those things and a pick of appropriate value. I would think they have no interest in Dermott. Too much tied up in the D already and he’s a LD. They have POJ who they project to see time soon.

Murray: a big package probably addressing all of their needs and a solid pick.

      Penguins don't want Dermott.

The cost of Jarry would be a 2RW or possibly a very solid 3C.
No picks, they don't help, no prospects that are years away, and no players in positions they don't need filled.

3C? How does Kerfoot sound? We could also buy Johnson out for you.

yeah that's not going to do it. There simply isn't enough value there to do that.
Especially from a team we may face in the playoffs.
      We'd be looking for Kap.

I could see that if it was a bigger sample to base it on. 33 games this season is so damn small. If a team gave up a 1st for that they'd be stupid.

BIIIIIIIG difference between goalies and young elite defensemen. Jarry has mediocre numbers in the AHL, had bad numbers in the NHL until this season. And even then, it was basially just a really hot start that made those numbers look good. Since the flip of the calendar: 15 games, .910sv%.

AHL numbers (for goalies) have basically 0 correlation to NHL numbers, and goalies are one of the most volatile positions in sports, 99.9% he won't be as bad as that for the majority of next year (or as good as his first ~20 games, but that shows that his high end can be a top 3 G in the league...) Plus his last 15 games were tanked by a horrible Jan, he was above average in Feb again

You sure about that? Since February: 7GP .896sv%

Bottom line, this season alone is way too small of a sample size.

Yeah, the team in front of him fell apart, he had a positive GSAx iirc

You can say that about any player who had one good season ever.
