If there is a CBO for every team this summer the Rangers could save 5.5 Mio on Lundqvist and keep the picks of the Smith trade or use the money to sign a shutdown Dman

I guess they wouldn't offersheet Shestjorkin. If they make an offersheet on Buch we either match it or take the compensation. Having Barzal compared to Buch would be was more valuable

It would definitely put the isles in a tough position, but realistically any team that offersheets barzal isnt going to do it in the range of 4 1st’s.

HAHA. Of course I would love that, but come on, Smith is the final year of his deal with a $3.335M salary. Realistically, I don't even believe NYR gives up a 2nd and a 3rd for another team to take him.

If you would add SJ 1st than maybe. There is no way you would get Lundqvist or Wall for 1 year at 4 Mio...
