Just don’t see why Drouin and Galchenyuk are there. They had good enough career at that point to justify their selection. Not all the 30 players selected in first round become high end super star. Galchenyuk Have the second most point in is Year draft. Becoming a top 6 players is a achievement. If both of these players would have played a couple of season and didn’t do anything good maybe but they still are useful in the right role.

Curtis Lazar was supposed to be the successor to Jason Spezza. He was a murderer at the Juniors, and he was billed as a future Captain in Ottawa.

Galchenyuk had great potential and great firsts seasons, but every season his game is falling apart. He is tossed around the league like a hot potatoe and i feel he's not stepping up his game

facts, i feel the Sens scrapped the kid, they put him in a 4th liner role and he was more of a skilled player

There’s something going on off the ice that hasn’t been reported - based on his play he should be a regular on the isles. His underlying numbers are great

Look at is stats! Excepted this year he have always been a 45-55 point players. That not bad at all in NhL the facts that you had big expectations for him doesn’t make him a failure. Not all first round pick become super star. He have already register over 300 point at the age of 26 that quite good.

The bigger issue was that they rushed him to the show in the first place. As amazing and special that Hamburglar run was, and he was obviously a big part of what made it awesome, he should have spent at least one full season, probably even a season and a half in the AHL.

That said, the Sens managed to turn Lazar into Alex Formenton, and Curty seems to have found a home in Buffalo, so everything seems to have worked out in the end.

I’m glad Dahlin isn’t on the list. He’s the forgotten offensive defenseman out of the Makar and Hughes talk.

I don't think anyone reasonable expected Bracco to be a star. He needs a chance to crack an NHL lineup but he won't get it in TO unfortunately. But he was a 2nd round pick, you are talking like people think he's going to be a superstar because they thought he could get Giorgiev who is a backup with average numbers. This just sounds like sour grapes, the trade never happened, who cares now? Jack Campbell is better anyways.
