Montreal isn't trading domi for the sake of trading him

He would be a great center, thats why it's going to cost a lot more than that. Everyone already knows who Niku is and no one is buying him at a premium

Trading for a top 6 Centre to play with your star winger will cost you more than that. It’s going to cost you Heinola and a pick or Ehlers. Montreal needs a top D or if they trade Domi a top winger to replace him. Doubt the jets want to make this trade but that’s what a top 6C should cost.

Domi would be a great center between Ehlers and Laine, I'd easily trade the 2020 1st and Heinola for Domi, only if he's willing to extend long term with the Jets though.

Trading the 2021 1st would be preferred though so if something around that pick could be worked out that'd be better, so say a 2021 1st, Heinola+ for a long term signed Domi, that'd be a great trade for the Jets and a solid return for the Habs.

Chevy really ****ed up by trading 1st round picks in back to back years for expiring centers, really piss poor asset management by him.

Considering that the draft of 2021 will be one of the weakest of the millennium, Montreal would ask for either the 2020 pick or the 2022.

And we know already that the 2021 draft is gong to be weak? Idk, seems like there's a lot of hype around every draft now and when I look at drafts from the past there's hits, misses and late round scores pretty much every year it seems.

There people making living on Prospect analysis and projection. So 2021 is projected to be one of the weakest draft of the millennium. Yes there will be some player that will succees that sure but like analysts said it not a year loaded with talent. You can have year like 2013 and 2015 where almost half of the player taken in first round are already having a big impact of a 2012 draft where you have some players that have get to the nhl bit not having the same impact.

Sure but look at all the hype around Hughes and Kakko yet neither had impressive rookie seasons, I'm sure there were many analysts calling Hughes "generational" but his rookie season was anything but.

The hype was just around those 2 players! In 2015 there was hype for Macdavid and Eichel but for 30 other players to. Guy like Connor and Barzal, Frost, Marner, Chabot, Konecky, Aho, Cernak, they where even talking about players that would fall into the second round and would still be high talented players. Last year that wasn’t the case. Sure there will be players that succeed but as for now it not looking to be a memorable years.

You need to go look at the Domi trade to Pittsburgh that someone made on here, you tell me if that's better, worse or the same as what I'm suggesting.. Lol

I get it man I just think it's too early to tell and a lot of these analysts don't know as much as they think they do, they just love to gear themselves talk, really wonder if some of them have ever laced up a pair of skates.. Lol

I look at it and it’s pure bullshat! A few people in Pittsburgh still think that Bjustatd hold any value.
And i can disappear more. These guy are people well respected around hockey community, Bob Mackenzie, Craig Button. There opinion are usually very well documented and professional.

Thought you'd like that trade... 😂

I wasn't meaning guys like Mckenzie or Button, just some of the other ones I've heard.

Jesus christ it was the worst one i have seen so far. People mostly underpaid or overpaid slightly here but that was just a disgrace. Zucker got a better return and he is not as good as Domi.

I liked how he sort of trashed Domi in a comment saying he's a candidate to regress and any team that'd give anymore then that would be making a bad trade but then he signed him to a $6M contract.. Lol

Exactly tears of joy ! He was still on pace for 51 point this year despite playing for a terrible Habs team. Is teammate where mostly Lehkonen and some random Cousin, Weal, Armia. He still managed to produced at a respectable rate. Before Christmas he had 35 point in 43 games then Armia, Gallagher, Kotkaniemi got hurts he started to play with Cousins and Lehkonen and Montreal had a 8 game slide and during a 18 game spen i think he had only 3 point but since drouin and byron where back he was back on track i think he amhad 7 or 8 point in is last 10 games befor the break.
And domi have been a consistent 50 point producer since is coming to the league despite having played for almost every year for a very poor offensive team. Is lonely season with good linemates he exploded. Domi also have always finish in the top 3 of is team scoring

Id keep little and see if he can stay alive, if so he plays well enough defensivly and gets on puck in the corners. He also has enough offensive talent to hold his own.
Between conner and laine pucks will find net. Wanna play with schiefle be better then wheeler.
