How high up could you move for dealing the current projected 11th and 24th pick? Rossi looks like the real deal. Small center but plays a great two-way game

Honestly if I'm ANA, I'd do this deal. More than one high potential 1st rounder is going to slip and be available at #24, later than projected, and be a great steal.

I've been wondering if we might see some teams trying to move/up down this year, more than previous years. That's the beauty of really strong draft classes.

He's the guy I have my eye on for us. He's not a perfect prospect, but man the guy is supremely talented. I'd rather not use our second 1st to move up (and instead use a roster player), but it might be necessary.

Anaheim already has Boston's first. I think they shoot for the elite player and then still have a late 1st

Depends on where Anaheim's pick ends up. Moving up in the top 10 is very expensive and usually not worth what the selling team would want in exchange.

Completely relies on what their organizational goal is. Not everyone is looking to move down for multiple later picks even if Its probably good value. If Drysdale is available for them at that spot, they might want to make sure they get the best dman in the draft over getting multiple picks. Sometimes quantity is better than quality and sometime it isn't. Really depends on the team. My gut is no team in the bottom 5 will move their picks for out of top 10 picks. This is just not the draft for quantity over quality. The top 10 this year are very highly regarded. If it was up to me, I couldn't bring myself to trade any one of them away unless its a complete silly overpay.

Right now Anaheim has the #5 pick, What makes you think Anaheim would make this offer? First off you're dealing with the wrong club more then likely. Detroit will get screwed and take Rossi at #4 so Rossi probably isn't available anyways.

Pretty sure the 24th picks doesn't move you up 6 slots, And FWIW Detroit probably takes Rossi at #4 seeing that we will get screwed royally at drafting either Lafreniere or Byfield or Stutzle. Rossi/Drysdale/Askarov are one of three i can see Yzerman taking at #4.

As they should, Minnesota wants Rossi Dumba goes to Anaheim. That's only fair. Only problem is Detroit takes Marco Rossi @ #4.
