That conditon for the oiler trade doesn't make sense. Poolparty will sign because Aho is one of his close friends and he is away from media attention, plus with aho teeing him up will get more than 30

Colorado isn't quite to this point yet but will be soon. This 2nd and 3rd line is better, and arguably the goaltending.

Toronto just has names. They've failed to make what they have work, and their defense is significantly worse than this.

PIT would have a worse bottom six and overall worse defense... and after this trade clearly the worse goaltending.

Tampa next year will be more top heavy as their depth pieces would have to be traded.

That leaves Boston and Washington, which as of now I would give the nod to... but if Washington can't keep Dillon or hold the line to where they are now then they are top heavy.

And yet TO was virtually tied with Carolina despite massive injuries and a coaching change. When everything went wrong for TO they had a similar record. Carolina gets all this credit and is still just a bubble team.

Mostly because of goaltending. Hurricanes also experienced injuries.

this year they might be a bubble team, but after these trades and changes I would be expecting more

They still don't have the depth TO has. Matthews, JT, Nylander and Marner are all elite, Kapanen, Kerfoot, Johnsson Mikheyev are all 2nd liners on a lot of teams. They are young on defence but Rielly is right there with Slavin, Muzzin is as good as Pesce, and Sandin is a terrific prospect as is Liljegren and Lehtonen should be good. Top to bottom TO gas really good talent that still has so much untapped potential.
