Description

There are a lot of qualified players eligible for this team, and seeing as it would hypothetically exist in 2 years it is hard to know who of the older guys might regress, and who of the younger guys might improve enough to make it.

I think this team is very promising because of how young and fast it is, but the defence core lacks what the Swedish, American, and Canadian teams can bring. I think that Finland has a pretty good goaltending duo with Rask and Saros, but there is a big question mark whether Rask would still be around if a tournament took place in 2022.

These are my picks for the team and the lines, and I welcome any opinions on who you would take instead, but please be respectful. There are a lot of qualified players and I made a lot of decisions based on who I think will get picked, rather than who is necessarily the best.

Scratches are defencemen who are very close to making it.
IR are the forwards who just miss the cut
LTIR are the other goalie options

Fair point, I had a hard time deciding how to order those right wings, so I'll move him up

Switch Nutivaara with one of Heinola of Valimaki, they are both going to be quite good in 2 years. Also probably move Jokiharju up the depth chart, he will probably be playing top pair with Dahlin in 2 years for Buffalo

I would agree with that, the only reason I had Nuutivaara in is that he is a guarantee, and that he is a defensive dman who a lot of coaches will like for an international squad like this one.
