If Brodin will sign for 6x6, he won't be traded. 6x6 is a slight discount and MIN would want to get him at that.

He's about to turn 27 and Minnesota is rebuilding to a degree and needs a young 2C more. A fair amount of Wild fans have suggested this move as well.

I think the move is fine, but it's a move that's done if they can't get a reasonable extension. 6x6 is a discount that MIN would rather keep than part with.

I think Brodin will either get the same contract as Provorov or Faulk

Muzzin. That's the best comparable on the market.

The re-signing of Spurgeon is going to cost MN one of Brodin or Dumba. I'd rather go more for futures than trade him for a Strome/Domi type of 3C that plays up in the lineup because there isn't a better option.

Strome is a 2C that just turned 23 years old, that's still prospect material

He's a 2C with Kane and a 3C without. Even CHI fans have him as a 3C, or at least when it comes to paying him they do.

He played with Kane less then 50% of the time and that line didn't work so almost none by midway through the season.

The reason Chicago fans have him as a 3C is because Dach has done a great job and Kane has paired well with him, you can't put Kane on the 3rd line and Kubalik - Toews - Saad was the best line on the 1st line. Cat, who almost always is paired up with Strome, also seems to see more success on the 3rd line given his short size.

This is what makes Strome available, not because he's truly a 3C. Furthermore, there is a lot of speculation if the Hawks draft another center, which the top 10 picks in the draft are deep with, then they will move Strome as they can slide that draft pick in the 3C and not have to pay that much for a 2C that is being moved to 3C for lineup issues.
