If any of Edmonton's left wings or centers get hurt or don't perform well throughout the year (likely) Andersson is one of the first players called up. Then, since I'm pretending to act like a GM (hence the name Armchair GM) and considering what the team will look like beyond 2020-21, you've got Nugent-Hopkins, Perreault and Haas all on expiring contracts. Those are three spots for Andersson to earn after regaining confidence in Europe or the A while, as noted above, potentially serving as depth during the 2020-21 season.

Perreault hasn't been a center in years, can't remember if he even played any center in his first year with the Jets, don't think he'd be a 3C option for the Oilers.

Someone does need to keep an eye Kenny. He's a very good GM but left unchecked the entire team will have no trade clauses.
