Depends what the league approves, If they keep the current draft then yeah it's possible the NJ could get #1-5. If they go back to the 2012 draft then NJ can do no better then #2 overall as they could only move up 4 spots.
In general this trade would all be based on chance and would basically be a gamble for Dubas
Lets say he trades and during the Lottery NJ gets #1 or #2 Dubas goes and get Lafreniere or Byfield (Laf basically replaces Nylander) (Byfield makes kerfoot expendable in a year) and the leafs would be back to having 3 elite centers again (2018 Tavares, Matthews, Kadri) (2022 Tavares, Matthews, Byfield)
If the pick goes 3-5 Still good but (Drysdale perfect future RHD, Raymond-people call the swedish marner, and Yaroslav Askarov fixes goaltending issues for the future)
Now if the pick goes 6-10 leaf fans may start to get mad at Dubas for trading Nylander
