MASSIVE TRADE

Created by: sabres1108
Team: 2020-21 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: May 22, 2020
Published: May 22, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Show Eichel we're not waiting for picks/prospects to maybe become the players that turn the franchise around in 3 years. Gotta be in win now mode before our captain requests a trade.

I think the NJD deal is pretty fair for both sides but I'd be willing to add another pick or prospect if need be.

NJ hangs up and blocks your number. Hischier is one of the only untouchables on the roster, 21 years old, great two-way center with 70 point potential... Cozens looks good but hasn't proven anything in the NHL, NJ has no reason to trade 2 sure things for uncertainties. Middelstadt + Montour + the 1st is probably fair value for Bratt but again I don't think NJ is particularly interested in moving him.

32 point jesper bratt is worth mittelstadt, montour and the 7th overall pick? My goodness

I guess if you only look at his stat line it doesn't make sense. 21 year old playing on a bottom 3 offensive team in the league, easily the most skilled forward on the roster and was the Devils best forward a lot of the year. I'd be surprised if he wasn't a 60-70 point player next year. Considering Middelstadt is an average AHL forward, and the 1st could very well never play an NHL game I don't think the value is ridiculous. I guess Sabres fans wouldn't know how good Bratt is

Bratt is a lot better than his point totals suggest, and I hope the OP is joking if he thinks the Devils are moving him and Hischier

So you call a 30 point forward good but mitts is automatically bad? Makes sense. A top 10 pick in a deep draft is bad? Makes sense, too. Absolute joke of an evaluation.

never said he was bad, guy. Just that he's an average AHLer, could very well never be an impact player in the NHL whereas Bratt is already at the very least a capable NHL player. Never said top 10 pick was bad either, you having trouble reading? maybe get off the internet for a while.

Don't think he's having trouble. If NJ was offered 7OA for Bratt they would jump at that. It's not a knock on him, it's the potential that 7 holds. Add in a decent top 4 in montour, and a high reward player like Mitts and it's a straight up robbery. You wouldn't trade 6OA for jesper Bratt, so to act like 7OA is much different and Buf would add is crazy. Basically you called Bratt a capable NHL player. You never would trade a top 10 pick for just a capable player.

Hey you know what man, fair enough. Cheers for coming in here with an actual argument and not getting angry too. While the 7 pick does have big potential I would argue Bratt also has pretty significant upside. It's easy to look at his stat line and call him a 30 point player (would've been close to 45 if he played full 82 games). I said at the very least he's a capable player, that's if he didn't improve any. You're right though I wouldn't trade 6th OA for him.

idk how you can say that. imo its the perfect trade

BUF gets exactly what they need in a capable 2C giving them one of the best 1-2 punches at Center for years to come.

This shows Eichel we are in win now mode so we can become a playoff team and he doesn't request a trade to leave town

NJD is still a few years away from being competitive so they trade one big peice in Hischier for a good package of prospects and picks to enhance their rebuild
