Unpopular opinion but the Sabres D looks a lot better with Risto on it.

the 3rd d pairing is going to get absolutely rocked. the 3rd rounder isn’t necessary in the mitts-JP trade.

I think both are ready for full time roles. Both have looked solid in limited opportunities. If they don't feel Borgen is ready could always add a veteran Right D on a 1-2 year deal. Demelo, Braun or Goudas.

Not unfair deal for Vancouver if you believe in Miller as a top 4 dman. I don’t

Why trade Reinhart, especially if the return is ony a top 10 pick?

No. Borgen is extremely reliable defensively, Pilut has shown he can keep up too. They would get sheltered minutes for sure, but they would be just fine

I think for their internal cap structure it would best to move Reinhart. I think he is a good player but does not seem to drive play on his own. For an AAV around 7 per I think that is just too much, especially with how much they have committed to Skinner and Ohkposo. Deals coming up for Dahlin, Jokiharju and Borgen next year

Plenty of cap space for Dahlin and Joki, Borgen isn't a concern cap wise. We haven't committed any money to Okposo, he will be gone during Seattle draft

Can't see Seattle taking Okposo without giving them a first to do it. Pretty steep price to pay. Also after we sign RFA's and if we obtain a good 2C cap space disappears pretty fast

He would only have 3 years left and would be a strong leader for them. Wouldn't cost a 1st but probably a 2nd or 3rd and one of our many D in the system (Laaksonen, Fitzgerald, Cronholm etc
