-No point to have traded for Zucker and signed Tiffoli-it's too expensive a 3rd line.

Hornqvist, Rodrigues, Poulin, 1st for Rakell is a big loss for Pittsburgh. I know Rakell is flavor of the week, but let's be serious.

-to get something back for him and don't let him walk for nothing (or just trade simon and keep him, very similar value but simon is cheaper and both play well only with sid)

-if we can't get rid of horny, we don't have that $5M. Adding Rakell to the top-6(Sid, Geno, Jake, RR, Zuck, Rusty) makes it solid and filled. Assuming Horny/McCann/Simon/Erod/etc. are battling for 3rd line spots, and ZAR-Blueger-Tanev is the best 4th line in hockey. The forwards are mostly filled. A new #3C would be nice--one that can win face-offs. That moves McCann to #3LW and a McCann-?-Hornqvist line is fine and having Simon/Erod/Lafferty/Angello as non starters is huge. For #3C maybe sam Bennett from CGY.
-Personally, my gut says they either move Murray or give him a 2yr deal for 4.5ish to battle for the net with jarry.
I would not, under any circumstances give Murray more than 3 and $5.5.
-the #1RW, 3rd line C, 3rd D pairing, and goalies are the only unsolved mysteries for next year.
