    If Ottawa was trading out Nilsson, I don't think there's anything wrong with having Hank as a one year Vet mentor for Hogberg.

    Yeah I know but I think Lundqvist would only wave his NTC if he was getting bought out to retire, hence the condition.

    I think he's probably willing to just retire if Rangers ask, or he will become "allergic to his equipment" or something and end up on LTIR. If New York is giving up a 1st, it's probably because Hank is dead set on playing.

    Isn't Chicago loaded with young dmen and kind of thin down the middle? If so I don't see them making this deal but maybe I'm wrong idk, the Rangers will sign Deangelo anyway imo.

    They are loaded on LHD they don't really have any good RHD.

    They have good potential... that doesn't mean that they are ready to play a top 4 role right now or even next season in the case of MItchell. Plus neither of them are as good as DeAngelo

    I mean they do have Toews and Dach down the middle. Toews is already better than Strome and there is a strong argument to be made that Dach will be too. So I don't see how they are any weaker at the C position than at RHD position...

    Yes because worse players have gotten one and trying to fleece in is our inventory
