Yes this is going to have to be. I want McCann to play cuz his speed, forecheck & defensive presence is so important but he will probably be benched for Bjugstad.

I’m not comfortable about the defence besides the top pair. Splitting up Schultz & Johnson means they will drag down Pettersson & Marino, but it’s not ideal to have them play together either. 2 terrible defenders. I’’d play Ruhwedel & Riikola If it we’re up to me.

Pens should’ve traded for Jake McCabe at the deadline, at least the defence would’ve been a bit more stable.

Marleau or Sheary will get benched before McCann. It's not even close.

Sheary I agree but would seriously take current McCann over prime Marleau?

I think 2013 Crosby was his most dominant season until he got hit in the face with the puck. He was running away with the scoring race. 2011-2013 Crosby was robbed with injury. He would’ve won an additional 3 art rosses

I don't know even reading the description.

This game has changed so much. Can we honestly say anyone would be complaining about Hornqvist foot speed in 2010.
Highly doubtful.
I'm just not convinced given the speed of todays game that some of these player who really aren't fast would have put up the numbers they did in today's modern game.
I get it they were younger then. But a younger Hornqvist and Marleau weren't really fast players by today's measure.
And I think that is where my hang up on this is.
It's hard to compare those stats to today's game because I have seen the change.
The game was in slow motion then.

To phrase that differently has Hornqvist got that much slower....or has the game got that much faster.
I think the answer to that question is yeah, he might have lost a little speed....but I think the bigger issue is the game is just getting that much faster.

Crosby lead the league in PPG I believe for 4 straight seasons and won 1 Art Ross.. Hockey fans collectively from 2010/2011-2012/2013 were robbed of a generational talents most productive years..

It wouldn't even be a stretch to say if Sid had never gotten injured throughout his career, he'd already be into the top 10 points ALL TIME.. and yet people hate on his greatness... insane!

Agree. Seems a lot of pens stars have been held back because of injuries. Mario, Sid, Geno and Tanger get hurt every year. Guentzels shoulder this year and everyone else...

Marleau in his prime was actually one of the best skaters in the game. If he were playing in this era during his 20s, he would definitely be able to keep up.

Hornqvist has always been slow & has gotten slower after all the injuries. He made up for his poor skating with his strength, physical play & aggression. Age has taken a toll on that too so he doesn’t seem near as effective as before.
