Considering essentially AHL=Liiga (.4-.45) and they are both skilled enough to play at a higher level I think this seems fine given JP is older.

The value is fair. They have the exact same PPG in the AHL level. But I don’t think the Sabres will trade him
They have no center depth. And there is a strong possibility he’s going to be the 2nd line center next year, if Botterill can’t find a 2nd line center.

I think with Dylan Cozens comin in soon he’ll try to find some value for mittelstadt, I could be wrong though, also Pulju would be nasty with Skinner and Eichel

I agree. Given the importance of the position I think Buffalo keeps CM. Centers are more valuable imo. To be clear as far as value goes it’s fair but buffalo really needs center depth

Buffalo would pass. Mittelstadt is still slightly more valuable and has been slightly more productive at the NHL level. He’s also a year younger and plays center. It’s a no brained to pass on this but I get the concept of the deal

But the problem is, he couldn’t do it with McDavid and Draisatl and both players are better than Eichel and skinner. Mitts is at least a year younger and plays center,

Puljujarvi 90% of the time was playing with Jujhar Khaira and Milan Lucic/Tobi Rieder.

Buffalo should do a Puljujarvi-Mittelstadt swap. Then acquire Statsny for 1 year for a mid round pick if the rumours are true Vegas will look to move him. And start Statsny at 2C and Cozens at 3C

Regardless of whether or not the swap is balanced, I'm not convinced Mittelstadt would be an ideal 3C for Tippett.

Well we would need a new gm first. I cant see botterill trading his first ever draft pick. I would definitely consider a move like this, i havent seen anything at all that indicates that mittelstadt is a center, let alone a number 2 center. It seems like even money that cm and jp end up as middle 6 wingers, im in.

Buff needs to rebuild or try to win some trades they keep doing the same thing over and over trying to keep big jack it might be worth it to offload there decent talent and trade echeil see what they get
