Take out Dumba and Wild still decline.

Leafs are much better having Kerfoot and Dermot at a combined 4.9m than Dumba at 6m.

Dumba is Barrie except not as good offensively and even worse defensively.

Some of us leaf fans love to look at the quick fix trades that never seem to workout. How did the Tyson Barrie trade go? Not absolutely awful but did it really make the Leafs better. I am seeing all these trades involving kerfoot kappanen johnsson and dermott and although i agree these are the most likely trade candidates these trades have a real possibility of making the Leafs worse not better and these fans cant see it. Example is the trade above. Dumba is barrie 2.0 another example of one i saw was Manson for johnsson and Dermott , i mean hell we got Muzzin for a 1st durzi and moore and Manson isnt at muzzins level. Just crazy stuff.

second, the leafs have no need for an offensive defenseman to play with reilly

Kerfoot isn't the center we should be after and we don't have room for Johnsson in our top 9. Dermott is maybe the only appealing piece in this trade for the Wild, but assuming we re-sign Soucy we don't have any need for him either. Pretty easy no for the Wild.
