Dadonov sure, especially at that nice term
Hoffman sure, can score from anywhere
Toffoli, maybe, bit high on AAV...
Grandlund no
Galchenyuk no

Depends on what the team needs. By that I mean do they want a pure offensive player (Dadanov or Hoffman) or more if a two-way forward (Toffoli).

Gally & Granlund I'd probably stay away from.

As for $ and term, I just guessed. I can’t see NJ signing an over 26 player long term. Gal and Gran - they’d be a low risk, high reward signing if so. Cheap, 1 year (prove yourself) deal

the problem with these players isn't the player but the term they probably want.
Signing 30+ year old guys to long term is not idea and really makes this crop a mess. Because the one's worth actually having are all 30+

Galchenyuk sucks thats why they have been trading him all the time to different teams

I agree. If I were to sign one though it'd be Hoffman because he literally only needs his shot to be effective.

I'd like to say teams are getting wiser about length of contract with these guys. But we'll see.
All I know is for me the age of 32-33 is the cut off age. I don't want to be on the hook any longer than that on a guy. I think the analytics is there to support that.
There are some guys who can play well past it, but they are rare and they were usually phenomenal players before.
A guy like Bergeron is an example. But it's really hard to know if you will ever have that guy.
I don't see any of these guys wanting a 3 year deal. But this is how the league should be looking at it. As no one wants to carry that bad contract.

If we could get Toffoli on a deal for 5 years maximum at a reasonable cap hit he would be #1 for me then probably go down the line in order of Hoffman, Dadonov, Granlund. I wouldn't take any chance on Galchenyuk guy gets traded every season.
