Since Trouba has a NMC kicking in when the offseason hits and he didnt want to be in Canada bc of his wife's career...dont see how this timing works to get him to Montreal before he blocks that trade

Well the easiest thing would be Trouba for Domi. And that would be it....Also Rangers decline that Howden deal...

HAHA no we decline... easily. Alzner has negative value.

Mete+2nd=/=Georgiev+3rd
Danault doesn't compensate for Alzner's negative value to get Trouba. Try again

Then again I don't see how Domi is a fit, Chytil would be stuck on the 3rd line and that's not good for his development

Hate to break it to you but Georgiev doesn't have as much value as you think. He's worth a mid-high second, nothing more.

Nope. Better numbers than Andersen and other very good goalies this season and last one, with one of the worst defensive structures in the league (looking at you Smith, Staal and Ruff)

Plus we're not moving him if it means not getting a LD. We desperately need those, Smith and Staal are pylons

Alzner's contract is bad but so is Trouba's. 8m/year until 25-26 with NTC ... We can just keep Alzner for 2 more years and deal Danault for more valuable assets lol

Danault is one of the better two-way centers in the league. As bad as Alzners deal is Trouba's deal is also pretty rough.

Andersen played a lot more games and we had rookies playing the second half of the season because Reilly got injured. Plus his GAA is lower because NYR gives up a lot of shots from the outside.

If you want to get a big return on a goalie Shesterkin's the guy you're gonna have to move. The fact Shesterkin got a 0.932 sv% brings down Georgiev's value because clearly the defence isn't that bad.

Staal will be very hard to move with NMC.

1-Trouba was very good for us defensively this year... his offense obviously dropped tho... he's worth 7mil, not massively overpaid
2-just keep Danault, he's a very good 2 way guy

yeah don't disagree. But if you're going 1 for 1 player wise, it makes the most sense. Otherwise, you'd do something like 2 2nds + Lehkonen (since Montreal doesn't have a late 1st)

Yeah sorry to burst your bubble, But Montreal would be the last Canadian team that Trouba would agree to waive for. Montreal needs LD help not RD help like Trouba. With his future wife becoming a DR in New York City, There's noway he'd agree to leave there to go to Montreal.

Like Trouba is good but I dont think it would be beneficial for MTL to be stuck with another huge contract, also im pretty sure Bergevin has not much interest in Georgiev considering were stuck with Price for like 7 years and Primeau is coming up "soon"

No exactly. MTL and NYR aren't good trading partners, both have ****ty D structures, both need LD-men...

No way. We’re not interested in Georgiev, all we need is a backup for 1-2 years until Primeau is ready. Phillip Danault is untouchable, we wouldn’t trade him alone for that package. And while Alzner has negative value, there’s no need to trade him, since we can just buy him out and his cap hit will be significantly better.

I would love to see Trouba in MTL... so what about Domi, Mete for Trouba, Anderson?

You know that both teams fanbase can decline, right? A team may not like the value and the other has their needs not filled. It happens. It's not a competition of who dislike a trade the most.

Why would Montreal do this trade? It's pretty terrible for both teams
