I could see
Mittelstadt + Risto + 2nd Buff
For
Henrique + a prospect not named Steel, Comtois, Or Zegras (I think they got Zegras. It was either him or Turcotte)

Prospect could be Terry or Groulx

Good point. I’m afraid to put Ristolainen in a big trade, I don’t want to get yelled at. 😂😂

Tbh, fans are trading him for a 3C in Copp, so I'm assuming his value isn't super high

I thought of that. But he’s from Bradford Ontario 2 hours away. And he’s still good friends with Montour.

why do people assume that everumyone wants to live in or near their hometown ? he'd be going from a pretty awesome area in Orange County to one of the most boring cities in the league with decent weather for maybe 3-4 months max

oh not too mention the Sabres havent made the playoffs in 9 years and they cant even make it when 24 teams are allowed in....i cant imagine any player waiving their NTC to go to Buffalo at this point in time

Decent weather is more like 5-6 months. Guys will waive NTCs to come here if they've hit a wall with their current club and want a bigger opportunity (e.g. Wayne Simmonds and maybe a guy like Turris). Otherwise...yeah, you're pretty much right on.

Players have been waiving to come to Buffalo. Skinner Frolik unfortunately did, and Simmonds. Buffalo is probably in a better spot right now than Anaheim.

It's a modified no trade. He submits 10 team no trade list. This stuff takes 15 seconds to look up

Maybe learn how no trades work. He has a 10 team no trade list that he submits once a year to the team

Except for all the players that keep waiving to come here and all the trades we keep making.

You are clueless

frolik and simmonds? overpaid bums that were already in doghouse with previous team? or Skinner who Carolina wasn't going to pay anyways so they practically gave him away? he was in doghouse there too. then has huge season playing along side a top 10 player in the league in contract year then BUF severely overpays for him in the offseason and he has a bad year next season?awesome

all im saying is its a stretch to make armchair teams with the assumption *good* players will waive their NMC/NTC clauses to go to Buffalo right now. Add in that the the players voted Buffalo right behind Winnipeg as the least fun city in the league, the weather is bad, the team and owners have no success in almost 10 years and to say a player living in Cali would willingly leave to go to Buffalo at the moment is a bit crazy

They. Aren't. Waiving. Anything.

He only has a 10 team no trade

okay and I'd put a substantial amount of money on a bet that Buffalo is on that 10 team list sorry to say
