I just don't see how Lindholm makes sense as a target for the Rangers. They're not winning the cup next year and he walks in 2.

The Greenway trade is probably the only solid idea here.

If the Rangers beat the Canes in this playoff round, they're going to be able to get a LOT more than that from them for Hank.

The Ducks would block the Rangers number with that offer 😂

The rangers are actually pretty close imo.. They could easily be a playoff team therefore yeah they could win a cup

Got that right, Probably take at least Strome+DeAngelo+New York Rangers 1st round pick for Ducks GM Bob Murray to even entertain such an offer.

I don't like any rangers' defense if staal is still on it

Welcome to CapFriendly! Sometimes it's not always friendly.

You are right to target the left side of New York's defense as needing a top-quality reinforcement. But what you've offered here for Hampus Lindholm is wholly inadequate. Ryan Strome had a good year for you this season, but he isn't as good as Adam Henrique and doesn't have the upside of Trevor Zegras, and no fewer than four of our LD prospects (Jacob Larsson, Christian Djoos, Brendan Guhle and Josh Mahura) are rated more highly than Matthew Robertson and are all closer to the NHL than he is. Any trade offer for Lindholm that we would even entertain would have to start with your earlier first-round pick in 2020 and another high-quality asset.

With Panarin and Kreider now signed long-term and Lemieux, Chytil and even Andersson in the system, you don't need Greenway, and with Koivu and Staal aging out, Minnesota is looking for a #2C (Strome?) or right-handed forward, not a defenseman.
