I don’t see why the Jets would do this.

Solidify the right side?

Maybe offensively but we need better defensive defensemen options like DeMelo more than an offensive guy in Deangelo. We already have Pionk for that role, assuming we re-sign DeMelo we have a shutdown partner for Morrissey, and already have a good cost effective option in Poolman for the 3rd pairing. No need to trade a 1st and our best prospect for Deangelo, who will definitely demand a lot of money this offseason.

I think the Jets want a short term LHD to let Heinola and Samberg develop for another year, but I think the Rangers need LHD as well lol so I don’t see a trade happening here

Firm no from the Sharks... Labanc's our only RWer and one of our few young players and is likely kept on a reasonable 3.5-4mil contract. Sharks aren't moving him.

Make that a 2021 2nd and the sharks would take that.

You're sending a lot of cap to the Sharks and Jets which might make those trades unworkable even if the "on ice value" is fair.

Could take Perreault from WPG or Sorenson from SJ

The value itself i fine, but I think the Rangers already have 2 better LHD prospect that should be in the A next season so the 2 demn they get back are kinda useless.

That's a good thought on the Jets trade. Perrault is a handy guy, and it helps the Jets cap. Rangers could then forget the Russel trade.
San Jose. I don't like the structure of their team currently. Too much high end cap on aging players and their mid to bottom end players just aren't that good. You traded three NHLers for one, plus the first rounder which seems to match both teams needs. Both teams might like the deal and then for San Jose, maybe they can trade someone to create cap space to fit your deal.

IMO the cap is going to be 86m. Salaries and everything related to them, Then the NHLPA and owners are going to have all players take 20% pay cut to show the reality of the revenues of the 2019/20 season, and a 70m cap. We can't show this on the CapFriendly format . And if you think that is absurd, in 2021/22, the cap will be at 90m and negotiations will be set at that level. Then all players will take a 33% pay cut to get the real 60m cap. Yea, revenues are really going to drop.

deep thinking there. As a NYR fan I just really want either a cap increase or CBO's

Where's Lemieux and Barron? Where is KAM going to play? Niku is a spare and not worth exp protection. Here there's no f d or g that can be exposed. Have to go with Russian duo. Brass is broken, Shore is a spare and Lebanc are meh, especially at that price.
