Whats With All These Kane Rumours

Created by: AnalyticsGeek
Team: 2020-21 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: May 26, 2020
Published: May 26, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I don’t know who started the Evander Kane to Pittsburgh rumours but they need to stop. They were not interested in him when he was available in 2018, so there’s no reason to think that circumstance has changed. He lacks worth ethic & intensity, plus is undisciplined, so he’d definitely have a hard time getting on with Mike Sullivan.

I’d rather trade for Patrick Kane than Evander, in all honesty.

I’m not suggesting for the Penguins to trade for Kane (its way too much to give up LMAO), but if this was the team for next season, how’d you think they do? Do they win the cup?

I don't think Chicago trades Kane or we trade for Kane but I think this team would do very good in the regular season but they probably wouldn't win the cup

Yes, that puts Pittsburgh a lot better than most contenders even. This would be a team that no one would want to play... except in 3 years they will become the laughing stock of the league without any first-round picks and Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Kane all old or retired.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, there’s zero chance this trade happens. I tried my best to find the complimentary players that fit Sully’s system, but you are right, they will probably get pummeled by a hard working gritty team.

Yes that’s true. I think the downfall is inevitable, so sometimes you have to go all in during the last decent years of your star players.

Theres no difference between the Kane proposals and your idiotic Marner trades. You are a huge hypocrite

My apologies, I wasn’t aware what I wrote was offensive. I will not use such terms again. My point is, what happened to Sprong, Kessel, Galchenyuk & Brassard, the same thing will happen to Kane. The coach just doesn’t like dealing with big personalities.

Except Kane makes no effort to play defence, never backchecks & always takes bonehead penalties. I don’t see how he is comparable to Marner, who is pretty good in every aspect of the game other than being physical & the fact that he had a down year in shooting.

      E. Kane, D. Strome, T. Hall, etc. they're all the same...not a fit.
Patrick Kane on the other hand...I'm not sure he's waive for PIT. He's a lifetime hawk and that's probably what he retires as. I do wonder if bringing in another established star would sit well in the room though. Sid, Geno, Tanger, Hornqvist, Dumoulin have the Leadership thing/veteran presence under control. On paper the team is epic--would it work out in actuality? I'm not sure.

You are giving up term forward depth of Zucker, Hornqvist, McCann, and 1 year of Bjugstad (20 goal rate as a Pen) to get Kane and Fast. Kane will be 32 at the start of next season. I think that short run the team is not as good, and long run the team is considerably worse.

Clearly im not talking about their skills. You make stupid unrealistic marner trades, but saying the Kane rumors need to stop. Take your own advice

Yeah I doubt he’d waive but if the Hawks don’t come close to winning another cup & he sees this opportunity, who knows. My only concern with bringing in Kane is that he’s worse defensively than Hall, but he’s proven to be a big game player which is something that can’t be ignored. I tried to bring in complimentary players like Simon, Sheary & Fast who fit the system to make this team as legit as possible.

they win 2 cups with this line up....and then no one cares because they won 5 cups in the Crosby/Malkin era.

Likes, no. Thinks that he is trash, no. If he had 3 more years at $4.1M that would change things. But its 1 year and he has not actually played poorly.

I think you got the wrong Kane....but neither will work

I want nothing to do with E Kane. That contract is unmanageable after next season. Probably unmanageable this coming season honestly...

      Good player, not gunna work....
