TOR
  1. Graves, Jacob
  2. Hartnell, Scott
  3. Savard, David
Additional Details:
Trading Hartnell (nmc) allows them to protect Jenner Karlsson and Wennberg. On D they need to protect Jones Murray and Johnson. They would have to expose Savard.
CBJ
  1. Greening, Colin
  2. Lindberg, Tobias
  3. Lupul, Joffrey
  4. Polák, Roman
  5. 2017 2nd round pick (SJS)

  1. Montour, Brandon
  2. Ritchie, Nick
  3. 2018 2nd round pick (ANA)

  3. Johnsson, Andreas
  4. Kapanen, Kasperi
  5. 2018 1st round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Ok. This trade is a little wild but it's basically an exchange of Bozak and Rakell as they will have to expose him, for a few of our top (depth) prospects that look like they might be able to step in now. And next years first witch would be a big gamble for the leafs. If they lost Rakell (or Bozak) the trade is Kappy Johnson Dermott 1st for Ritchie Montour

You have Savard on your top defensive pairing. Don't you think for one moment that the Jackets know that Savard is better than Jack Johnson and will keep/protect Savard in the expansion draft? You might as well just include Johnson in your trade above rather than Savard.

I'd prefer to have Matt Martin in my lineup everyday over Scott Hartnell

The Arizona trade: The Leafs give up 3 players and a second rounder for Datsyuk, who isn't going to play. Right.
The Anaheim trade. Ritchie and Montour for Kapanen and Dermot about fair (I'll even throw in Johnson. But but a possible lottery pick but even 20th pick and a retained salary for Bozak for Rakell and about 55th pick. No thanks Leafs. Matthews, Kadri and likely Nylander will the Leafs top centres in 2017/18. No really need for Rakell.
"Trading NMC Hartnell, allows them to protect Jenner, Weinberg and Karlsson" Don't see how one protected guy exposes three. By the way, Hartnell would waive his NMC to leave the disaster in Columbus. The Vegans are new and Hartnell would love to be a hockey personality. Play for two years, then be a broadcaster or some "executive" in Vegas would seem to be a perfect fit for him.

That's fair. But the trade wouldn't happen unless Savard was included. But I agree they may expose Johnson.

the Datyuk trade was just a junk trade to remove some $$ and players. Sure trade them for picks/prospects. If the leafs see nylander as a Center (I don't) then you don't need Rakell. But getting Rakell Ritchie and Montour (young Rhd) for Kapanen (another rw) dermott (another LHD) Johnson and Bozak (who will likely be exposed on either team). If you don't want to trade the first rounder I get it. I just wanted to over pay a bit so I didn't get chirped for steal Ritchie and Rakell lol. And Hartnell. I mentioned all those players because if he doesn't waive they will need to expose one of them. Thanks for the comments.

The players are fine, however I dont see how the trade helps out the Avs. Landy and Zads bring the hitting and toughness to the Avs.
