We'll call the prospects a wash, so you want Ottawa to send a 2nd round pick for a cap dump of $6.375 million? I get that Hank is still a good goalie but I don't think Ottawa is the right fit for him (and it'd be pretty rude for the Rangers organization to send him to this **** show after all he's done for y'all).

So Ottawa swallows a contract, gives up a second and a very solid prospect for a prospect who I consider worse than Brown. Great

Honestly, just remove Brown and I think this might be something.

No way Hank waves his NTC to go to Ottawa if he goes somewhere it will be to win right away. As well Ott gives up better prospect and pick for a cap dump?

I think the most likely scenario is Hank getting traded to Ottawa in a three team trade after his signing bonus is paid and Ottawa retaining half his salary. That way Hank can never actually play for OTT and can play for a contender, OTT an get a pick/prospect and the third team (maybe EDM?) gets a 1B for a reasonable price.

OTT doesnt need a goalie. LBrown > Andersson AND you want us to pay a 2nd. Woof.

6M in cap costs a first. (Backes/Marleau).

Now, King is better than pure dump, and you could do it after bonus is paid, so it wouldnt have to be anywhere near as good as a 1st but NYR would still have to be paying Ottawa.

Where is the incentive here for Ottawa? Giving up the two most valuable pieces AND take a cap dump.
