Like this a lot! Only alterations I’d make ,rather our top Defensive DMan AHL prospect than Rutta And a kid or Marleau on a min contract over girg
Both alterations give us about a mil cap savings which can be helpful durring the season

maybe, but I don't really think any defenseman in our prospect pool is ready. Maybe Merkley, but not great for his development if he's playing bottom pairing minutes in the NHL.

Also Girgensons>Marleau

Marleau’s mentorship is valuable we were a better team once we signed him this season. Girgensons May be a better player (slightly) but I still don’t see him as a good fit.
I like Carrik and passichinuk And desimonthey all are close to being ready and I feel one of them will make a Ferraro jump next training camp. And keel Middleton as a 7 D with 5/6 D upside and good amount of grit for matchups with tougher teams.
Merkley need 1 season in the AHL he will be next years rookie D man

I wouldn't pay 1.5 million for Jan Rutta. He's not better than Tim Heed imo. Save yourself some valuable cap space and sign him for 900k-1 million

I know I'm probably being overly critical, but I still don't see this being a playoff team.

One of the few ACGMs that are realistic as far as CBOs are concerned. There won't be any. It's free money that not single owner would agree to while not having made any revenue because of COVID-19.
