Are you sure tho? I mean Hartman can score 12 goals, he only has a year left, could be a decent fit on your bottom 6...

Why sell Hartman so cheap? Keep him, re-sign Chucky for what you did and put Rask back in the pressbox. The team is better overall.

I don't know what Hartman specifically brings to the team but ok

More than Rask... Hartman is an ideal 4th liner (outside of the random dumb penalty he takes), plus he's a RHS and MN is severely lacking those in their FWD group.

Why buyout Zucc instead of Rask, especially if you're planning on getting a quality C in Strome that can help Zucc produce more? Why trade Dubnyk and retain 2.5m for only a 5th? You can probably get more from a team like Buffalo that needs a competent goalie.

Zucc couldn't play with anyone last year. He's older, more expensive, more term, and has a NMC. He did play with Staal most of the season and Staal > Strome. Zucc earned his way into the bottom-6 for MN by the end of the season.

What about Strome is a quality center? Take away Panarin and what is he? I'm guessing the same 30-35p 3C that he has been most of his career.

I think the Wild are in a good position to go after both D. Strome AND Cirelli in the off-season -- that would really improve their center depth and help them get younger. Would maybe even be cool to go after R. Strome too and unite the Strome bros!

Replace Panarin with Kane? Don't they play on a line?

Okay, but the same still holds true with the other Chi Strome brother. Take away Kane and he's a 3C, as shown this year when they weren't together. Playing next to an elite wing makes their stats look better than what they really are as a player.

Yes, but why overpay for a 3C just for those wings to make him look like a 2C? I'd rather overpay RNH as a UFA next year than trade for most of the centers that are are in every AGM on here.

Heck if Fiala, Kaprizov and Boldy come anywhere close to their ceilings then they can make JEE and Kunin look like stud centers.

I agree...and that’s my point. With the Wingers to Wild have, they should be able to complete with a bunch of #2/3 centers...as long as they keep a good blue line and figure out their goaltending, of course.

Dylan Strome plays with Kane less then 50% of the time. They stopped using Kane on his line after the first third of this season. Dylan has been playing with Debrincat mostly (who didn't have a great season) and Nylander, Dach, Caggiula...a whole cast of characters. Dylan was out for a portion of the season with the flu and a injury but when he came back in January he was looking very good again.

Strome was also put on the wing which affected how he played. Once he was moved back to center he "magically" started to produce again
