Cirelli isn't getting traded, And fat chance of Tyler Johnson waiving for Minnesota just to be a 3rd line RW. Johnson only waive for a legit contender and chance at the 2C position nothing less.

I don't love the Tampa trade considering we can offer sheet Cirelli for less. I would like to get Johnson though, although I'd say put him at center again and see if he can find his game. Nobody knows if he'd waive or not, so all I will say is that it was between the Wild and Tampa for Johnson when he was choosing where to sign as a free agent. I don't think it's that far fetched that he'd waive to come here.

I just threw the trade together trying to use similar value as an offer sheet, plus acquiring Johnson. Consider it a ballpark proposal.
Johnson doesn’t have to play wing, just put him there as an option.

I switched out Koivu for Strome. Parise better top 30 goals with two righties feeding him the puck!
I also traded Hartman to make some cap space.

I like your ideas. This would immensely help our team next year. Highly improbable but hell, what Armchair GM isn't? Not sure if I'd go after Khudobin. We have Stalock whose on a great cap hit and is decent enough to hold his own in net. Not great, not good, but decent enough. Plus that saves a ton in cap hit we could use resigning Fiala the following off-season.

I think it's time to move on from Koivu to Sturm as well. Let's see what the kid can do. At Koivu's age, they're basically playing the same role anyways. Then hopefully all the young kids keep getting better and hit their prime at the same time.

This team is still a fringe playoff team and with 1 I jury to a top 4 dman is a lottery team that traded away its 2021 1st round pick.

Minnesota needs youthful top 6 centers, they are not easy to come by and not cheap, personally think they should be improving though the draft, not trading 1st rounders away.

Also a strong possibility of a flat cap, so I'd be prepared for Fiala to be gone the year after.

You know, the more I think about it the less I like Strome and the more I like Turris. Strome has really only produced decent numbers with Panarin, outside of that he's just been a 30-40 point guy. Turris has consistently produced over 50 points without a winger like Panarin and the cost to get him will likely be a lot less since I'm guessing Nashville doesn't really want him. I'm not sure if Nashville would go for the Zuccarello 1 for 1 swap, but if we could pull that off I think that's ideal. Otherwise I'm not sure he'd cost that much.

I’d be all in on a Turris for Zuccarello 1:1 deal! I would much rather overpay a 3rd or 4th line center than a 3rd or 4th line wing!

He's 22 but you cant rely on just having 1 and giving up that many picks to get him is a mistake. He isnt going to bring you to the top of the division and trading away a bunch of picks, one ofg which may be a lottery pick isnt going to help either. Its just another tread water move in my eyes

Tampa isn't losing Cirelli under any circumstances, whether it be offer sheets or a trade. the whole reason they want to dump Johnson is to be able to sign Cirelli, moving both does nothing for them. Winnipeg needs centers but it's a fat chance they give up a 3rd and 2nd for a declining staal when they can most likely find the same value in free agency. inter-divisional trades aren't likely anyways.
