I would imagine hes just not on the market since Philly is already pretty thin on RD. Not to mention they are definitely in win now mode so trading for Liljegren is counterproductive

It really has nothing to do with who is in the trade. What i mean is every player has an inherent value and i dont think you are crazy in this evaluation. But the problem is its an evaluation based on if a GM is buying a player off a shelf at the grocery store. This is the big problem on this site people dont seem to understand there are several different values any one player can have. Theres the team he is currently playing for evaluation theres the team that wants him evaluation and then there is an analytic value of the player. Its kind of why no one can ever agree on trade value on this site

If you want Myers, the deal would have to be based around Nylander. Even then, I doubt Philadelphia would move him.

Myers is from my hometown here. I was kind of hoping that he would be picked up by the Leafs for free as he seemed to be flying under the radar undrafted.

Kind of like Cernak being traded by LA to Tampa Bay after being demoted to the AHL in his first preseason and then demoted again to Junior and before even playing an NHL game.

I admit neither players are superstars or even stars but man both/either would be a welcome addition to the Leafs.

No, the Leafs need centres behind Mattthews and Tavares. And really what is the Flyers motivation to move a young RHD? Nishkanen is a is 34 and UFA in 2021, and the Flyers have no other right shooting Dman except Myers.
