i don't see buffalo saying yes to this...they need another A prospect to go along with Cozens and they're going to get that with their own pick at 7OA

my thinking is buffalo has a lot of holes to fill. the trade would be roughly #7 for #12 and #23

Too bad the Rangers do not have a 2nd this year, IMO a 2nd would certainly push Botterill to making a trade.
Four picks among the top 44 would allow him to fill a lot of holes.
That being said do you have any one other than Rykov?
He does not appear to be appropriate prospect.
Buffalo has other LHD prospects who currently appear to be better than him.

morgan barron is a solid prospect that can play center or wing and is about another year away from being nhl ready. If it was him with the two firsts to get marco rossi, i would probably do it>

I actually think Buffalo is in the opposite position. Their star player is already getting tired of losing and adding a prospect that won't be a significant contributor for a few years doesn't make them better in the short term. And there's no guarantee Cozens will be a significant contributor next year. I think a package of Strome and some pick and prospect combo could help both sides a lot.
