spitbailling here on players that maybe possibly could be acquired:

(some trades would require extension to be agreed upon prior ti the deal)

C
Nugent-Hopkins
Hertl
Domi
D Strome

LW
Forsberg
Ehlers

RW
Laine
Mantha
Boeser
Arvidsson

LD
Brodin
Werenski
Sergachev
H Lindholm

RD
Spurgeon

RNH would have to come with an extension otherwise it isn't worth it.
Hertl doesn't have enough term left to be worth it unless SJ is sending some good extras with Hertl.
Domi yes but only if he's signed for 7 or 8 years.
Strome is RFA controlled so that's good but I'd be wary of him fading.
As a Jets fan I wouldn't trade either of Ehlers or Laine for the Sabres 1st, not worth it imo.
Those other forwards you listed might be worth it if they can be signed long term like in Mantha's case, I bet Forsberg would rip it up playing with Eichel, Arvidsson has more term though if I remember correctly, that always has to be a consideration when dealing a top 10 pick imo.

As for the dmen I'd only move that pick for a long term signed Sergachev or Werenski, not enough term with Lindholm and Brodin even with an extension isn't worth a top 10 pick imo.

because if we tell Eichel were not going to give up future assets to improve the team right now and instead inform him were going to try and wait another 3 years to be good by hoping Dylan Cozens, Cole Perfetti and Ryan Johnson somehow save the franchise i dont think he'd show up to training camp for next season dude

You act like we must trade for Max Domi or Jack Eichel will perish. and those are the only two options.

he had 72 points 1 season ago its not like hes 31 years old hes 25 dude
