Lafreniere and Eichel would be a HUGE problem. And probably the only way botterill turns around this team.

The sabres have never moved up in 30 draft lotteries. I dont remember where i heard that, so i cant confirm, they were an expansion team when they got perreault and they finished last when they won dahlin. But they have never moved up. So either they are way overdue, or we are screwed. Things dont break our way, thats a fact i dont need to look up.

say LAF gets solid production as a rookie maybe 25 G 35 A playing with Eichel...this team here making the playoffs for sure right??

Not necessarily. If you assume lafreniere plays with eichel and 7.5 million dollars worth of sam reinhart, you are hoping cozens is your 2c between olofsson (on his off wing) and skinner. Thats a lot to ask, and im betting however much they score, they are a net negative. Botterill could very well not find another center and you have some terrible combination of johansson/mittelstadt/kahun playing 3c- which again, almost certainly gets scored on more than they themselves score. So that gets you to special teams- both were terrible and cost us many games last year, and krueger is keeping smith as special teams coach. So the d that was at least ok playing kruegers system will have to bail us out in our own zone frequently, but we dont have the horses for that either. I am absolutely fine with average goaltending, provided you used your assets to ice a very solid team in front of them, but you will bleed goals with average goaltending if you are hemmed in your own end for much of the game. There needs to be changes throughout the roster, but hearing botterill talk about relying on mittelstadt and thompson sends chills down my spine. Plus our division is top heavy, we probably take a step, but there is still way too much below average on this team to make the playoffs.

Oh yea, that give you a line of Laf-Eichs-Ollofson
I think the second line should be exactly like it shows above Skinner and Reinhart are great linemates for a rookie breaking into the NHL I think that they will be a good line, also I expect and extra 40ish points from Cozens and (Bold Prediction) 40+ for Mitts, in Haulas spot in the lineup above...

Skinner had a bad unlucky year, expect 25+ goals and 50+ points...maybe optimistic
