You signed Lindblom though. I'd say, as of right now, there's a higher chance Lindblom is never able to play in the NHL again than Patrick. I'd imagine fighting cancer is a bit tougher to deal with than dealing with migraines.

Brian Boyle came back from cancer tho. Don't underestimate head issues

Nick Bjugstad has a history of migraines and he's returned to play.

All I'm trying to saying is if you're going resigning Lindblom, no reason why you shouldn't resign Patrick too. Both have to battle back and recover from their unfortunate circumstance. Patrick has been skating in practice with the team before the pause, so that's why I put the odds of him returning higher than Lindblom at the moment (of course things can change). Realistically, I think both just get a QO just to retain their rights. They can talk about a contract once their future is bit more clear.
