When has Botterill even been this active? And Buffalo still misses the playoffs.

Really??? I feel like they could get a lot more for Hertl. As an Oilers fan I'd definitely give a better package than that

The only way this team makes the playoffs is if they have a 24 team format again next year.

Only way Eichel gets to the playoffs is if he gets traded.

Let me make this simple. SJ is not trading Hertl unless it’s an overpayment. They are not rebuilding, they intend to compete next year. So, you accept. SJ does not. I personally would not accept. Hertl is worth much more than this.

I would not give up this year's 1st for Hertl unless we drop back a few spots because of the lottery. Having his 3rd knee surgery in 7 years and missing 1/2 of 3 seasons because of the injuries would be risky. When healthy he's great, but you have to wonder if he's going to slow down from the damage to his knees. Also, only two years left before he needs a new/ bigger contract. Building for the long term with the pick is a better idea. Besides, pretty sure we're not on his 3 team trade list.

Not adding a 2nd in the JP trade. A 2nd or TT. If they want a 6th or 7th, then perhaps. Edm is dealing a guy that they don't want and that doesn't want to play there. That should lower the return a bit.

Would rather sign a guy like Dillon than resign Montour. Don't want to ask a RD to play LD again.

Tage isn't enough to get Puljujarvi.
