I doubt minny who seems destined for mediocrity (at least short term) would give up 2 2nds for strome

Stromes best where he is right now, I will never understand how he didn’t get more of a shot playing with McDavid. The short time he did get a chance he produced. A lot like him playing with Panarin

Strome is a big no from me at least. Parise's long buyout is also suspicious, especially given the Wild's history of them.

Strome concerns me since he's only had a good season after being attached to Panarin's hip. We don't have a Panarin level player that could get the best out of him. I think he's at best a 50 point player with the Wild. I wouldn't hate acquiring him, but I'd rather we use a forward like Donato and add something extra instead of using two seconds to acquire him. I'd also give Cirelli an offer sheet and roll with Strome, Cirelli, and Ek as our centers but that might not be super realistic.

I like Strome, I like Dylan better, but I would like to see EK get more time in the top 6 and on the pp just to see what he can do. I think Strome would block him from those minutes, and I don't see Strome as a 1c so I guess I wouldn't want to move Staal until Wild either find a high end 2c or a true 1c.

I'd rather just keep Staal and re-sign him to another cheap deal. It's not a long-term solution, but Strome isn't a long-term solution either.

Vesalainen does nothing for the Wild. They have too many wings (especially LHS wings) now and for the foreseeable future.

I’d gladly take (either) Strome for the right price. I also think the Wild do have the forwards capable of getting the most out Ryan.
Ideally, the Wild make a play for Cirelli, trade for a Strome, trade Staal, and roll with 3 - #2ish centers with very capable wingers flanking the top 3 lines. Aside from getting lucky in the draft or overpaying...i think a bonafide #1 center is a pipe dream for the Wild (and us fans). A better strategy would be to gather as many #2s as possible and make it work. IF the Wild had Cirelli, Ek, and a Strome down the middle, they would be in very good shape for many years.
