Pretty accurate, but the title should be "Top 10 Forwards". You can't really compare forwards with defensemen or goalies

Ya, you are right. But forward have the biggest impact, so they are usually the one considered the best.

The hardest thing to do is score.

Connor Hellebuyck has had a bigger impact than Patrick Kane this season

He's still a rocket richard trophy winner. If you use that logic, neither is Crosby or Kane.

That's why they're generally considered better than other forwards who score less. Personally, i've always thought it was comparing apples with oranges. Like oh, Artturi Lehkonen is so much better than Mike Smith

Goalies are often a product of the system more than they are individually terrific. There are some that are better than others but if the system isn't there to support them they will not do well. Like Price this year, at least for the first half of the season.

I mean its debatable, but Blackhawks are a bottom 3 team without Kane this season. Hes got 24 more points than the next closest guy and pretty much runs the power play by himself. IMO Hellebuyck should win the Vezina and im not discrediting him at all, Im discrediting the rest of the blackhawks team lol

I guess it depends what you guys mean by "impact", but for me a Hart trophy candidate > a player who had a great season

I am not saying Hellebuck isn't good. He is a vezina winner. But I still think that a High impact forward beats a goalie. The best players in the league, the hart winners, they are forwards.

No, Crosby is not super good anymore. his best days are far behind him. Im a huge Crosby fan, so I had to put him 3rd. Never been a fan of Malkin. I hate when people compare him to Crosby. He's not half as good, and no way he's still a top 10 player.

You clearly don’t watch much pens hockey. Sid played the first part of the year injured and still had a decent year. And he’s great two way. Sid is still #2. And Geno was on pace for over 110 points and lead the league in even strength PPG. He’s still a top 10 player and a force.

mcdavid may be better based off ability, but I get one player in the league to lead me into a playoff run im taking crosby over mcdavid 10 times out of 10 same with mackinnon, geno had one of his best years this year

He's one dimensional at this point in his career. If you look a little closer you'll see that Washington was actually better with Ovi on the bench than in the ice at 5v5. Crosby and Kane still bring positive impact.

Kucherov is easily a top-5 forward in the league.

Yeah, I think he's basically nailed the top-10 forwards here (Kucherov should be here and probably Malkin), but the order isn't right.

Not sure if Pasta deserves to be there yet. Still has some defense to work on and Draisaitl should be lower on the list. Kucherov should be on there and honestly Marchand is a very good player. Top 10? Not sure, but his defensive game is one of the best (minus a certain Stanley Cup lapse)

Well, He's not better than Mackinnon or Sid the Kid? (more like sid the old man). And no, Panaran is not better than Matthews. Matthews is much better.

LOL, completely forgot about Kuch! I agree he's top 10, switch him with Kane. And please, Ovi is the best goal scorer in hockey since Wayne Gretzky himself. Wayne was better all around, its not even close, but goal scoring wise, Ovi is not far behind. He's still top 5. If you think he has a negative impact you a delusional.

No disrespect to either player, but they are getting old and I don't think Sid is top2 or Malkin top 10.
