Don't see Pavelski waiving his NMC...and if we had "loved" Zucc as you said, we would've re-signed him.

Pavelski is good buds with Suter and Parise, so he might be willing to waive his NMC...who knows.
The Stars do/did love Zuccarello, but not enough to sign him to the idiotic contract the always desperate Wild do/did...

Yeah that's true. That contract is a massive no-no.

If Zucc and Pav both waived and the Wild retained $1million per on Zucc’s contract, do you think Dallas woukd consider thus trade?

Im just sitting here triggered that the Stars didn't score one more goal in the playoffs and signed the wrong RW to prevent those draft pick conditions to come to fruition...

Probably not. He's turning 33. A $5M contract would run until he's 37, which seems pretty f*cking risky.

Would have to be a better compensation than Donato to convince us taking that hot mess of a deal.

IKR! I gotta admit tho rooting for you guys was a f*cking blast last season. Solid team, wish it could've gotten farther but great run nonetheless.

Indeed.

Gotta admit I was so mad when Maroon scored that goal, but nonetheless our playoff run until that was pretty solid.

Is it safe to assume Zuccarello is a cap dump now? Like being 100% honest do you see any team having interest in him considering age, term, salary, production, and his NMC that effects the Seattle Expansion draft all big factors that would sway away a potential suitor?

Yeah I remember the roller coaster of emotions I had over the Zucc singing.

At first I was happy. "HELL YES! He can replace some of the playmaking Granlund left behind. Not sure about the 5 years but heck, sometimes you have to overpay to get a quality player"

Shortly after the signing, the details leaked. "Oh boy...ummm. That contract looks horrendous...let's hope he contributes at a high level for at least 4 of the 5 years. Why did we have to give him that NMC? You know what, let's just ride with it and hope for the best. What's done is done."

Part-way through the season: "Man, Zucc doesn't look like he fits in at all. Let's hope he's still just getting adjusted"

Today: "Guys, I think we've made a mistake..."

It’s safe to assume Zucc can only be traded for another sh!tty contract and/or the Wild retaining a good sized chunk of his salary.

I loved Zucc but that term sucks. If they retain a million and add Donato I’d be interested
