I would look into Hjalmarsson and Larsson if you can get retention on them.

Jokiharju Is untouchable. He’s only 20 they are building around Dahlin and Jokiharju on the blue line.

Hjalmarsson costs too much in cap and Larsson sucks.

Honestly we shouldn't do anything. Johnsson I think gets moved and maybe Kerfoot if we find a suitable 3C. And that's it. Let the young guys get a chance.

It would require no other moves on the Leafs end. Just sign Dermott to a cheap 1 year deal and you have enough cap space.

I say none of the above.

Holl and Dermott were both playing top 4 minutes during the season and doing so with a level of competency. To go and acquire "an upgrade" at RD (that's what we are talking about) is simply going to cost too much in term of asset at this time.

The situation isn't ideal, but it is what it is.... and it could be far worse.

If anything was brought to light during the season is that the organization lacks NHL calibre depth on the blueline. We can say there were more injuries on the blueline than anyone could have expected, but it got thin far to quickly. The Lehtonen signing I think is proof that Leafs managment agrees with me.

Move Johnsson for pick(s) because it has to be done, but short of that, this team isn't changing a lot from what we see now.
