BUF MTL NYI trades

Description
Minnesota has a weird roster. Too good to blow up but also a wildcard team at best. I think they’ll be able to get away with a partial rebuild like Vancouver did but depends on how prospects pan out

As a Hab fan: Remove Alzner to make it even as the trade is one on one Domi (little more value) for Brodin... Staal is a rental and Stalock is a better second than Lindgren... For Staal MTL need to upgrade with a 2nd instead of a 3rd.
Domi, Lindgren, 2nd, 7th for Brodin, Staal, Stalock

Brodin is a better player than Domi 8 days a week!

Islanders accept for sure, Buffalo might take that too just because Zucc still has some upside that really isn’t they for Okposo and the price to pay for him isn’t that much. Montreal deal is essentially Domi for Brodin and Staal which I think is a little overpayment on Minnesota’s part. Maybe upgrade the 3rd to a 2nd, especially if you’re taking on Alzner and drop the goalies, there isn’t much between them anyways

I don't really like any of these trades personally. Zucc is a far better player than Okposo at this point and we don't have room for Thompson in the lineup (and he's even scratched here). In reality it's probably a close trade value-wise but I'd rather try to find a better deal with a different team (such as Nashville and Turris). Wild are giving way too much up for Domi. He's a fine player but I'm not convinced he's the 70+ point player of two seasons ago. Brodin for Domi straight up is probably fair but even then I'd be hesitant to pull the trigger on that. Don't want anything to do with Ho-Sang plus we don't even have room for him. Sturm fills a need at 4C, we should just keep him. Also Donato is not a center

Better, but I still wouldn’t take that. Staal is still a viable top-6 C. I’d want a 2nd and a 3rd at bare minimum. Look at what Pageau got.

That's why I suggest to remove Alzner and give a 2nd instead of a third...

Sure, but I’d consider Stalock and Lindgren a wash, if not a mistake of a swap for the Wild. Lindgren will be UFA and Stalock has a extra year which allows us to make him the exposed goalie, which I’d be surprised to see Seattle take. So I see it as:

Domi ~ Brodin
Lindgren < Stalock (in the Wild’s case with consideration of the expansion draft)
2nd + 7th < Staal

So MTL should remove is 7th rd pick and add Evans type of prospect NHL ready

No to all of these trades.

Zucc > Okposso
Staal > Domi
Brodin > Alzner/Hickey
Stalock = (?) Lindgren
Strum is penciled in as the 4C next year (over Rask). Ho-Sang and Thompson are pressbox/AHL and there is no room for them on the NHL roster now or in the near future.

So MN gets a couple 3rds, a 5th, and a 7th for making their team much worse and taking on bad cap.
