It's not that the value is there, the hawks just really don't need him. We have too many NHL defenceman and if we were to give assets to bring in a solid one it would have to be someone more reliable defensively (think Jonas Brodin)

Philly can just sign Braun instead. The same if not better player and a cheaper contract. I see Ghost being moved for picks

I read some stuff on here earlier that Patrick Kane is a one man show on the PowerPlay and Gostisbehere has had success on there before. I agree he's not as great on defense, but his best year was when he was on the top pair with Ivan Provorov. Not sure if Chicago has a reliable defensive defensemen or how their defensive system is structured, but Gostisbehere would most likely thrive on that pair like he did before.

Yeah I liked Braun this year, but I've always had a knack for Hjalmarsson. I think Braun might want multiple years and a pay raise, but I'm not sure if that makes sense for Philadelphia.

Be do have a reliable defensive defencmen. We have both conner murphy and calvin dehaan. The power play was dead last season so i get that point, but our young top 10 pick Adam Boqvist is blossiming into our #1 PP quarterback. Adding Ghost wouldn't hurt, but it could take playing time away from Boqvist who is younger, cheaper, and has a much higher ceiling
