ARI
  1. Burns, Brent ($1,750,000 retained)
  2. 2021 3rd round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
It's the Sharks' last chance of trading Burns and getting something pretty big for it... basically they get a bottom pairing d-man who can contribute offensively (that way he could replace some of the offense left behind by Burns), they get a C+ prospect in Steenbergen, a 1st rounder but move down in 2021

They still get 2 picks back and we all know what SJ will do with mid/late picks, they'll draft top-4 d-men and top-6 forwards so nothing to worry about here

Ouch.😕

Yeah...

EK has a 11,5 mil cap hit until his 35-26 years old season
Vlasic has a 7 mil cap hit until his 39 years old season
Burns has a 8 mil cap until until his his 39-40 years old season... let that sink in

Trading Hertl ? That's obviously not happening. Plus, I'd rather trade Vlasic over Burns.

Okposo and Brassard as our top 3 RW ? Lol yeah right

NOBODY will trade for Vlasic dude. Nobody.

And that’s what tanking is all about

This team was in the conference finals last year and to be honest if Karlsson, Pavelski and Hertl we're healthy back then, the Blues would not have won the cup.

I love this team. But last postseason. In the WCF. The blues wanted it more. And destiny was theres. Games 4,5 and 6 were so embarrassing to watch. We were injuries but they wanted it more.

For a rebuild this is a good start, I would think Couture is more likely to go than Hertl, other than that, no notable problems.

Eh...

IMO Couture is a keeper, his leadership and experience will guide the youth for the long term future

Pass on the buffalo trade. Why do we take back Okposo and give up a second? If you think Tage Thompson intices anyone you’re wrong. I’d be okay with taking back Okposo in a rebuild scenario but your going to have to bump what we get back, not what we give

That’s a terrible way to look at a rebuild. Couture is 30 now and in the prime of his career. He should be moved right away for the highest price possible. Hertl is only 26 and very likely to stick with the sharks long term. Hertl is the perfect guy to build your team around if he stays more healthy

Right but would you guys get as much for Couture as you would get for Hertl considering he's 4 years older?

No but your going to struggle much more to find a replacement Hertl, and Hertl will still be a great player when the rebuild is done, whereas Couture will be done

Typically when 3 of your 5 best players are not playing, you're going to lose. Vlasic was also playing injured. We rarely agree on anything but I will have to disagree again, if healthy, Karlsson healthy in that series, Sharks would have won the cup. Analysts around the league said the same thing.

neither of them are likely to go in a rebuild or "re tool" scenario. Which doesn't really matter because the sharks are not rebuilding. A lousy season and every gm on capfriendly thinks there is a rebuild looming.
