You're downgrading the Wild in every one of these trades (except maybe the Strome one)

Maybe so but we'd also be getting out of a terrible contract and we could use that money for a better player and have an overall better roster

          wont work for toronto

3.2 mill leaving 6.4 going in. Dubas wouldnt do that. Sure having those 2 would increase our depth but for that cost no.

Columbus counters with Wennberg and Anderson for Zuccarello (1.5 retained) and Staal other wise there’s no chance Columbus can afford that type of trade with PLD still unsigned.

The savings really aren't there imo to do that. Zucc (who's contract I dislike as much as anyone) isn't a bad player.

These trades are mostly sending away 70p for $6.4m AAV and bringing back 35p for $5m (with the retention) AAV.

Puljujärvi or Kapanen would be nice additions Kap more than Puljujärvi.
I think salary cap will be a problem in most of these trades, Vancouver could probably do it but I'm not a big fan of Virtanens game, then again if it moves Zuccarello's contract I could get on board.

Please tell me I'm not the only one that doesn't understand the big deal about Ryan Strome. The man that has only played good with Hart contenders. (Which the Wild don't have.)

He's probably the best center (stats wise) on the market right now with spiking a career year. When your choices are Domi, Turris, the 2 Strome brothers, and Haula for the title of "best center available" this off-season it's pretty slim pickings.

Basing on the other assumptions: flat cap, no cbo

Zuc trade would probably be dollar for dollar trade.

Edm Pooly and Neal for Zuc, 1.5 mil retained, and Donato??

It will definitely be a buyers, teams with cap space, market this off season with a flat cap/no cbo...

Ah the Strome brothers, the wannabe Staals.

I'm with the crowd of not signing a C this off season tbh. But Strome IS one of the best options available if you want to go that route.

Same. Getting Cirelli would be nice, but I think that is unlikely. Barring that just offering Chucky a short/cheap deal is the way to go imo.

No way Oilers touch that contract. I'm pretty sure they don't want to tank
