Not Tampa. Fox on his ELC and improving that right side would be significant for them.

Uhh... Rangers do. It’s not particularly close either.

Neither is your other trade for that matter.

Fox for Eichel straight up is close though.

Serg and fox are about equal in value, but RHD are more important. Rangers should keep Fox, hes great.

Both trade work I think. Any team get sergachev probly win cup in year Big win rangers get better Russian player loose American player is good. Alway improve with Russian work harder score mor goal than USA player I think New York win. Dont think wrong I like America but player from America normal lazy.

Rangers are not making this trade. It would need to be something they couldnt turn down to move Fox.

Lol, just the thought of NYR trading Fox after he forced his way into their pipeline... “sorry kid, it’s just business!”

lol. you're right. Buff will have to add.

What's interesting is if you add the value of Sergachev's 3 seasons in Tampa he just barely beats Fox's value this year. He's worth more than 2 Sergachev's....

fox-serg

On a /60 basis. Fox was actually more valuable this year than Eichel....when you consider Fox will be 18 mil cheaper over the next 2 years, that's uh,,,,a lot

Gilory, Hayes, Vesey... they've done it before.

Fox is in a different tier, though.

Let's not forget Sergachev is younger than Fox.

Fair trade considering ELC.

lol I mean feel free to look at the numbers. Fox being more valuable /60 this year. Actually when you just look at the totals, Fox is more valuable than every Eichel year except this one.

eichel-fox

Using the Marleau conversion that about 6 mil in cap room = a 1st.

Being equal in on ice and 18 million cheaper over the next 2 years means Eichel + 3 1sts = Fox....

Regardless....Eichel will probably be a Ranger after next season anyway as Botts botches another offseason and Eichel forces a trade to his most beloved coach.

This is ridiculous, you obviously have problems evaluating players and no graphs will help here.

Eichel is a young franchise center with a long-term contract, and Fox, for all his cool game, cannot possibly cost such a player alone. The guy had one good season in the league, and you already think that he is Seth Jones or Roman Josi. I saw offers from Rangers fans: Fox, Kakko and Chytil for Eichel, and the price will be something like this. smile

I definitely think TB adds to the trade and not the Rangers. Fox already has scored more points in 1 season then Serge has in 3... is better defensively... is cost controlled for 2 more years.... and is right handed

The only thing Serge has over Fox is he is 4 months younger and you’re splitting hairs at that point.

Honestly, there’s no need to trade Fox for Serge. I’d be open to trading someone like Lindgren or Rykov with a few adds to even it up tho. TB will need to shed some Cap before next season

I literally just posted the numbers. That's all.

Though to be fair to Fox. His season just beat out the career best of Josi and Jones.
fox-jones-josi

I do agree though. I wouldn't trade do the trade. I mean this is Fox's 1st season and he's 22. He could easily be better than this and he's already matched Eichel's production. I don't think it's worth dealing. Plus he wouldn't want to be dealt anyway.

While we're talking about price though, this isn't the first 1C Botts has tried to trade. I assume history in that regard is pretty predictive of the future.

Nothing to do with the trade but what is Fox going to do?? Work in the pro shop sharpening skates in the Jericho public ice rink for 15 bucks an hour?? Drive the Zamboni between pee wee games and public skate??

Really? Certainly Fox had that choice as UFA when he left college. Are you saying if he was traded he would quit the NHL and lose out on ten millions of dollars and not play in the best hockey league?

And all this breaks down in one season, we already know who Seth Jones and Roman Josi are, but whether Adam Fox will also be good next season and beyond, we don’t know that. At the same time, the position of RD in Buffalo is the most crowded. I'm not even sure if I wanted to trade Eichel for Fox, Kakko and Chytil, not to mention one Fox for Eichel. He is our best player and the only adequate center in the team.
