Why does Vegas; who has cap issues; trade away a guy on a good contract, just to add more cap to their team?

I wouldn't necessairly call Tuch's contract a good contract. If Im Buffalo, id be hesitant to take on a player who had a down year and on pace to be a 15 goal scorer with a 4.75 million cap hit for 6 years, and if im Vegas, I wouldnt wanna sell low on a player who was a 50 pt forward two years ago.

It agree it doesn't work for both sides.

Plus Vegas feels they solved their D issues with Alec Martinez
