Jankowski's game fell off such a high cliff last year I would argue you get a better return in that Calgary deal..... although I would be very relunctant to move Goat. His game is vastly improving, and that size on the 4th line is important.

Not sure about that Vegas deal. Maybe a year premature on them needing a centreman. And getting another 4th liner in return seems so counter productive given the Leafs system is full of guys like that..... see far better fits for Kerfoot frankly. Like Edmonton..... hint hint.

While Goat has come leaps and bounds from where he started, he does not utilize his size enough. If he were more physical I'd lock him up in an instant.
Jankowski is more defensive, and a bigger body. Kappy and Barb can score the goals while he lays the body and dishes the puck. Plus a cheaper option over Kerfoot.

Carrier is an energetic 4th liner who gives his all every shift and loves to hit. Plus his cap hit is great! Him and Clifford could really add a much needed spark in the leafs game as they lack physicality.

Lewington is similar. 25yr old RHD with some size and a love for hitting. Low risk high reward if he turns out fine.

Won't disgree on your assessments..... but still see those players in the system. Carrier or Korshkov. Carrier's game is more refined, but Korshkov is similar in game style.

Frankly I do like Jankowski. Just suggesting if you can't pull that off with moving Goat?

Still I don't see a need for Kerfoot in Vegas. All for moving him, but I still see better fits than Vegas.

Don't know enough about Lewington to comment, but if he adds organizational depth to the blueline I am all for it. That is seriously lacking.

Vegas decline, they don't have the cap space.
