Only thing stopping Wahlstrom right now from a callup was burning his first elc year. He's massively improved overall in BPT. He'd have to flop massively at training camp to not win a permanent spot. Bellows is tricky because, unlike Wahlstrom, Bellows lacks puck protection.

Going to have to do better than a 2022 5th for NJ to take on 2 more seasons at $3.5M - let alone help out a division rival. You’re better off going elsewhere. I wouldn’t do it for less than a 2nd.

Its crazy how deep the Islanders are in cap trouble...
This is a creative idea, but that Boychuk trade ain't happening. Maybe if the Isles throw in some picks.
NJ would need more incentive to take Clutterbuck
