Description

Make a complete rebuild but instead of waiting of all your star players contracts (Barkov, Huberdeau, Ekblad) to expire trade them at full value.

Also trade everyone who's close to becoming UFA.

And while at it, relocate to Quebec because after this nonsense no one is going to visit Sunshine anymore.

Don't know whether they take a new identity or return as the reincarnation of Quebec Nordiques, but we'll see about that.

leafs wont pay that for 2 inconsistent players. Weegar had 1 good year no indication of a repeat. Same with accari, sure he scored 20 goals but whats the guarantee he will do it again. pass. In general weegar is a target but we aint paying a 1st for him.

Think it's pretty close honestly. TOP3 LW in the world atm, last two years combined 170 points in 151 games. Also he's taking a bad contract from you as well.

It's a crazy amount to pay, sure, but player at his level and with his contract wouldn't move for any cheaper than that imo.

Bro none of the pieces heading FLA's way isn't a key piece for you guys. Tatar gets replaced by him, KK's in AHL, Poehling gets traded all the time because of your surplus in Cs and Alzner sucks.

All this for the best player to play in the Habs probably during this century.

I would if I had as many assets as MTL does. It's unlikely that they could use all of them at their full potential. Might as well trade some of them for a top quality player if possible.

Why would COL make that trade through FLA for 1 yr of Tatar? If they really wanted him they would just deal direct with Montreal and not pay that much.
