Columbus laughs at that offer. We have no use for a LHD or an AHL player and the 1st doesn’t convince us to move our best forward.

I'd do the NYI and CBJ trades, but neither of those teams would accept those.

The Buffalo trade is hideous.

Not sure what purpose the LAK trade serves, but I guess it's an upgrade of sorts so why not. MacDonald is the ideal puckmoving Dman to have in the AHL though as he allows them to play a similar transition style as the Avs do, so I'd be fine without that trade too.

Why trade the top 4 LHD in your hand, for a potential top 4 LHD? Rather just keep Graves and Donskoi.

Defenseman player card: Ryan Graves
"Graves is a rare talent in that he's an elite defensive defender with a fantastic shot. He's excellent at defending the blue line, but is considerably weak in the neutral zone and on the penalty-kill #GoAvsGo"

Yes, his one season, thanks for proving my point, where are the 18-19 stats, where are the stats the year he was traded for a career AHLer. Colin Miller looked great for a season too

Is there any indication that Graves will fall off? It's not like he has any typical red-flags like a high ice-time, PDO, or oZS%. In fact he's typically played the toughest minutes of any LHD, as the teams 2nd highest PK minute eater (after Johnson). He also leads the team in blocks and also leads the league in +/-. His offensive production hasn't been based on PP time (he had zero PP time), and his production hasn't been in patches but rather evenly spread out throughout the season.

He's been extremely steady ever since Spring of 18/19 when he got 26 games and played well enough to convince the staff that they could let Nemeth go. Then he simply took his chance with Makar, and has been extremely steady all along, as the analytics above show.

If he had been very up-and-down then yeah there would be legitimate question marks. But what he's done is play a very simple and steady game, and there's no indication that that will change.

...the phrase that immediately jumped to my lips upon seeing that Jackets trade would probably get me in trouble here. Suffice to say that that's an egregious insult of an offer.
