Yea Krebs did feel low, but I couldn't justify moving him that far up. Kaliyev played well but again I couldn't justify moving him in front of the guys in front of him.

get ya, pretty high on Krebs.. was really hoping the jets would draft him or Newhook, but both didnt fall that far :/

Kaliyev's a wild card.. puts up crazy points even at his draft year but every team passed on him.. gotta be a reason there

Sabres wouldn’t draft a goalie. They already have Ukko Pekka Lukkonen.

Dude, he can't even lockdown a spot in the A. I would understand if you guys would keep Cozens or maybe take Podzlokin, but you can't deny you have a hole between the pipes.

No it was his plan to play in the ECHL. He was an All-star too.

Yes but in his brief 10-games with Rochester he was an .874, which is not exactly good. He also only had a .912 SV in the ECHL, and a good defense is to credit for his incredible GA.

Do I think he will be a solid backup? Yes.

Do I think he will be a starter? No.

I disagree. But obviously the Sabres have bigger needs, I’m sure they are happy with the Cozens pick. Knowing Botterill he will be the 2nd line center next year.

the horror of a 20 year old coming off hip surgery not immediately supplanting an AHL all star goalie as a professional rookie.

It just seemed unusual that goalie with such a low GAA also had a relatively low SV% (for an all-star), so I assumed they weren't letting many shots through. I'm not discrediting him, I'm just inferring they have a good defense.

Yah we had Woll who is the same age and was almost as bad, it's a tough jump from Jr's or Europe to the faster paced AHL game. I'm just saying that maybe he isn't a future starter and instead a backup, which is what I'd say is true for Woll.
